Chairman of Madhya Pradesh human rights commission, justice, DM Dharmadhikari reiterating on friendly relation between police and common people here said today that without protection of police human rights the checking of common man's human rights would be difficult. He said that it is necessary for democracy that police system should be made better.
Dharmadhikari was speaking on role of police in human rights protection on two days programme of concluding ceremony. He gave away awards to the police teams on this occasion of debate competition.
Justice, Dharmadhikari said that domestic violence related to women and juvenile justice act the role of police should be ended. He commended the family counseling centres run by police department and suggested to take domestic violence under provision of law.
DGP, Anand Rao Pawar commending the role of state human rights commission said that it is working for justified solution for complaints of all classes.
ADG(intelligence), Surendra Singh forcing on infrastructure reform in police system said that police personnel should be given tension free atmosphere.
Justice, Dharmadhikari gave award to RB Sharma and Manoj Sharma of Sagar range team who stood first in debate competition and expressed their views in favour of the subject.
Rajendra Gupta and Asharam of SAF Gwalior range team were given first prize who expressed their views in opposition of the subject.
Similarly, Bhopal range team stood second in favour of the subject while the competitors of Gwalior and Sagar ranges stood second in opposition were given prizes.
Human Rights Commission member, Viijay Shukla, principal secretary, Dr AN Asthana and a large number of retired and working police officials were present on the occasion.
