Agreement to restore peace in Kannur

An all party meeting on Saturday decided to work for lasting peace in the trouble-torn areas here, following killing of seven persons in attacks by RSS-BJP and CPI (M) workers recently.

Guwahati, Mar 15:
Six ULFA militants surrendered with arms before Kamrup (Rural) Deputy Commissioner R C Jain at a function here on Saturday. The six activists deposited three grenades and three pistols to the deputy commissioner.
