Gohar Mahal enlivened with artists

Bhopal, Mar 14: Gohar Mahal is glittering with the artistic objects that are created by women who came here from various parts of the state for the Swayam Siddha Mela. Women have displayed their ceramic, terracotta, embroidering arts and even Ayurveda medicine too.

Lata Chauhan, who hails from Badwani is expert in Ayurveda medicine. She said that she was guiding girls in this field. Meanwhile she displayed Mangi Mandloi Mandna of Badwani in her painting.

Meanwhile Shanta, who has been working in this field since last 25 years, said that she earned name and fame in this field. She continued that it is her traditional family business and part of culture for her. She said that she would teach this art to her sons and daughter but she would not force her decision on them. She is happy as her work is praised here.

Eighteen-year-old Anita started her carrier in jute jewellery besides her education. Now, she is teaching this art to other girls.

Afsana, resident of Jhabua said that yet to go a long way to earn name and fame. Meanwhile Durga Bai, who hails from Ujjain, creates wooden comb. She said that besides the art it is means of bread and butter for her. Seventeen-year old Chhaya Pawar, resident of Hoshangabad started her career in paper work after completing her tenth. She said that it is her traditional family business. She has been awarded several times for her work. She said that she is proud of it and happy with her work.
