Talent manifested through colours

Bhopal, Mar 14: The local Bharat Bhawan is witnessing a conglomeration of talented women coming from different parts of the country. The 'Swayamsiddha' women have proved that they are no less than anyone. The atmosphere at Bharat Bhavan was made colourful through the display of paintings of these skillful artists. Here are some experts of the conversation held with these women artists.

Vaishali Oak is from Pune and associated with arts for the last 16 years. To achieve proficiency in this field she did Diploma of Arts and M.A in Painting. Inspired by nature, Vaishali says 'The subject of my painting is very plain. I wish to continue working in this field'. Vaishali has received several honours along with National Award in 2002 for her skillful painting.

Jyoti has come from Bombay and is connected with this field for the last 20 years. She has visited and earned name not only in the country but overseas too. Jyoti says 'I have been to several places but Bharat Bhavan is totally different. The artists get homely atmosphere and due respect at this place. I had come here in 1994 and this is my second visit'.

Deeply impressed by the beauty of Bhopal, she says 'The beauty of this place is found nowhere'.

Leena Batra resides at New Delhi who is basically of Russian origin. She was so impressed by the beauty of India that she decided to settle down in this country. She is an artist of Ceramics and working in this field since 1982. She carves beautiful pictures because of expertize in Ceramics. She says 'People of Bhopal are the true lovers of arts. They have duly appreciated our works. Appreciation is the biggest prize for an artist'.

Lipi Vishwas has come from Shanti Niketan. She says 'I am working in this field for the last 7 years. During this time, the response received by me in Bhopal is matchless'. This is her first performance in Bhopal. She has been received many awards. Highly impressed by the beauty of Bhopal she says 'One falls short of words when it comes to express about the beauty of Bhopal. People of this city are just wonderful'.
