Age for marriage |
| The Law Commission has recommended lowering the minimum age of marriage for boys to 18 years from 21 years. A boy all of 18 is too immature to take on the responsibility of a family. When a boy decides to get married, he should also be financially stable. To ensure that, the minimum age a boy needs to attain for marriage is 21 years. As for girls, going by the way Indian society functions by and large, 18 years can remain the minimum age of marriage for them because it is still the husband who is expected to take care of his wife after marriage!
