A woman and her two daughters were gagged to death at their residence at Sitamau in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh and one person was arrested in this connection, Home Minister Himmat Kothari told the Assembly today.
Replying to a call attention notice on the issue raised by Nanalal Patidar (BJP), Kothari assured to look into suspected involvement of Kanjar criminals in the incident. While Rajubai died due to asphyxia after she was throttled with a rope or wire, her daughters Hema and Neelu also died of strangulation, Kothari said, adding there was no evidence of criminal assault.
He said Dilip Khati, who was suspected to have illicit relation with the woman, was arrested on murder charge. The Home Minister denied that terror prevailed in the area due to murder of three women on the night of February 27. Patidar said there was no theft in the house and panic prevailed in the area as the murderers were yet to be caught.
Bill to amend Private University Act

A bill to amend the Madhya Pradesh Private University (establishment and operation) Act was presented by Higher Education Minister Anup Mishra in the Assembly today. Another bill to amend the Madhya Pradesh Cotton Control Act was also presented by Minister of State for Agriculture Harendrajit Singh Babbu.
