Why British Library closed?

The closing down of the British Library is a shocking news for all the Bhopalites. The exact reason for its sudden closure is not known. As the government is mum about its closure, it gives the impression that the government has already given its assent for its closure. Whatever may be the reason put forth by the BL, is quite insufficient to justify the cause. It is an unpardonable mistake thrust upon the students and the intellectuals of the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

I still remember this library was opened in Bhopal in the mid-sixties when I was a student of English literature in the Saifia Arts and Science College. We used to visit the library regularly and made optimum use of the library. Now, that glorious history has faded from the map of the city.

I earnestly request the intellectuals to come out and raise their strong voice against this scrupulous decision of the BL.
