Bhopal, Mar 11: The Second Late Rakesh Soni Memorial Masters Cup Cricket Tournament is being organised at Railway Ground. On Tuesday, Bhopal Masters team defeated Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) team and entered in semi final. The team of Bhopal Masters won the toss and took first batting. Opening batsman Hasan and Riyaz scored 126 runs to loss 1 wicket. Hasan scored 80 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 10 boundaries. He was declared Man of the Match.

While Riaz scored 66 runs and Idris scored 31 runs. The team scored 226 runs. Ajay and Arif of BMC team bagged 2 wickets each. In reply, BMC team was all out on 156 runs. Zafar, Faruq and Farhan scored 33, 23 and 32 runs respectively.

Bhopal Masters won the match and entered semifinals. Sargam, Saduddin and Hasan bagged 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively.

Sub-Jr Chess selection

Sub-Junior (Under-9) boys and girls Chess Selection Championship of Bhopal District would be organised under the aegis of All Bhopal Chess Association on March 16 at Baba Farid Ali Gali, Jehangirabad. Interested Chess Player can contact and submit application form to the secretary of the All Bhopal Chess Association, Mohammad Mehmud. The selected players could take part in State Level Chess Championship (Under 9), which would be organsied from March 29 to April 1, 2008 at Indore.
