With the rise in temperature in the city, summer wears galore at Bhopal Haat. In the ongoing National Handloom Expo at Bhopal Haat, there are handicrafts from different states, which have become cynosure of people's eyes. More than a dozen artisans and weavers from different parts of the country have come to attend this national event. There are stalls set for Saris and clothing along with items used for decoration and household purposes. Their popularity can be gauged from the gatherings at these stalls. This time, some novel items have been launched ranging from Furniture to carpets to bangles. One cant help giving a look to shawls, pillow and Pillow covers with Kashmiri work done on them. Saris for general use have been very much liked by ladies. On the other hand, girls are going crazy for Salwaar Kurtis, Midi, gown and skirt. There is great variety available among long skirt. For gents, there are outfits blended with traditionalism and modernity. The sale of Kurta-Pyjama, Kurtis, Lungi and Angoccha among gents is on a high.

There is variety of things according to one's requirement. I feel variety of cotton clothes is the main speciality of this Fair'.

Farmaleague-2008 held

Three-day Farmaleague-2008 was organised under the aegis of Oriental College of Pharmacy at the premises of the college. Under this programme, various events were also organised and around 200 to 300 students took part. In the first day of the programme, the Director of the institution Ms R Chandra distributed T-shirt among the players (students) and inaugurated the programme. The students put up their excellent talent through Cricket, Chess, Table Tannis, etc.
In the second day of the programme, academics event was organised and paper presentation and poster competitions were the main attraction. Akshat Sharma secured first position in Poster Competition, which was organised based on Multi Drug Resistance and all the audiences praised for the efforts. In the third day of the programme, Colourful Cultural Programme was also organised and large number of students took part with zeal.
Academic Dean of the Institute Garima Thakral distribtued mementos to the winner students and team and encouraged them. She also congratulated for concluding of the programme. Director R Chandra, Azad Singh Thakur, Sharad Mangal, Akshat Sharma, Deshdeep Shrivastava gave their best contribution for making it success.
