Bhopal, Mar 10: Technical Event "Electra-2008 was organised under the aegis of Department of Electronics and Electricals, Technocrat Institute of Technology at the premises of the institute. Large number of students of various technical colleges of city as well as all over Madhya Pradesh took part in the event.

Former Vice-chancellor and Dean, Department of Mechanical, Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal SN Verma was the chief guest and Professor Ganga Agnihotri of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) presided over the programme. The Director of TIT Group Dr CL Saxena and dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting a traditional lamp. Professor LV Jayesh of Department of Electronics and Electricals, TIT welcomed the dignitaries. Five sessions were organised in the event. Saurabh Chakraborty, Devorshi Bhattacharya of Rai Foundation College bagged first prize in Paper Presentation, Durgesh Vajpayee of TIT bagged second prize. Prafulla Pawar and his team (Bansal College) bagged first prize in Robotics. While Amesh Pundit and his team bagged second prize. Neraj Kumar and Ramneej Jain of All Saints bagged first prize in Quiz competition and Abhivan Shukla and Prashant Tiwari bagged second prize.
