Chhindwara to be made division: CM

Bhopal, Mar 9: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to make Chhindwara a division. He has also announced to get a workout done for three districts to be included in the new division. The Chief Minister was addressing a Jan Ashirwad Sabha at Chhindwara on Sunday.

Shri Shivraj Singh said that the workout of the three districts all other procedures for carving out the new district would begin soon.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh also inaugurated novel savings scheme called Arunodaya Gullak Bachat Yojana at the function. Giving away first savings box to Ku Sneha Praveen Bagri, he also unveiled the Gullak (piggybank) folder.

It may be mentioned that the objective of the Gullak Bachat Yojana launched by Central Cooperative Bank, Chhindwara is promote habit of savings among the members of economically weaker and rural families with a view to ensuring better and secure future of their children. Benefits of this scheme would also be given to the guardians and parents of the children.

'Chalked out scheme for all round development of poor people'

The Chief Minister said that he has implemented several schemes for all round development of the poor people since he felt their pain in the core of his heart. He said that one and only goal of the state government is there is all round development of the poor and a poor patient does not have to wander around due of lack of treatment. With this in view Deendayal Antodaya and Madhya Pradesh Rajya Beemari Sahayata schemes are being implemented swiftly. Arrangement has also been made to sanction assistance from Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund for treatment of such a serious diseases treatment of which requires more than Rs 75000.

Instruction for survey of damage to crops by hail, frost

The Chief Minister gave instructions to officers to conduct an immediate survey of crops damaged by inclement weather. He informed that arrangements have been made to give compensation to the tune of Rs 7,500 per hectare for damage to irrigated crops and Rs 3000 per hectare non-irrigated crops.
