Time to celebrate

India has emerged victorious in the Commonwealth Bank Tri-series final in Australia. After having gone one up in the best of three finals at Sydney, it was in Brisbane that India beat Australia by nine runs to go two up and thus in the process, India clinched the Commonwealth Bank Tri-series final. On all three previous occasions in the tri series final in Australia, India had failed to win a single match out of six matches, but this time around in 2008, the story was a lot different. India won the first final pretty comprehensively and in the second final at Brisbane romped home victorious by nine runs. The second final at Brisbane was a game played with many glorious uncertainties. India won the toss and were heading for a big score when they started losing wickets at regular intervals. India ended up with two hundred and fifty eight runs and it thus appeared to be a close match. Close match it was but India kept their nerves and won the match at Brisbane by nine runs thus putting an end to the tour of Australia on a positive note.
