Election for US President: McCain scores big wins

The process for electing the next President of America is on. Arizona senator John McCain's candidature for president post has become firm who belongs to Republican Party. McCain's four big victories in Vermont, Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island drove his last major rival, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, out of the race. President, George W Bush has approved the candidature of John McCain. At the same time, in the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton seems to be moving ahead of Barack Obama within the party. In the elections of four states on Wednesday, Hillary has come in flying colours in prominent states, Ohio, Texas and Rohde Island. Whereas, Obama has secured win in only Vermont state. It was speculated that Obama would bag the election results of these states and it would be the last contest in which Obama would show the doors to Hillary. But, even after this, Hillary's remarkable return has made the contest tough. The whole world's eyes on the election process in America. The Indian community is also equally eager. There are a number of Indian software companies in America. Besides, a large number of Indian community members are working in other companies in the US. If Hillary and Obama are seen comparatively, then Hillary is a renowned name and she is better friend of India too. It is difficult to claim about Obama anything but it is true that whoever becomes President in America he or she would have to consider India seriously. Republican Party is ruling there at present. And in the tenure of President, Bush, relations between America and India have become closer. With this view if John McCain wins then also there would not be much difference in Indo-American relations. However the position would become clear in the next few days, whether Hillary or Obama would be candidate from the Democratic party.
