Women setting examples and records

Bhopal Today Team

Bhopal, Mar 7: It is an age-old tradition that considers woman as symbol of power and the creation of this world is incomplete without her. This is very much true in today's context. At one time, woman was made to suffer exploitation in the society but in the present times, women is attaining new heights and setting new records in every field. The way they are doing this is worth appreciating. Nobody can dare to say that today's woman is dependent and needs any support to excel in life.

City Mirror interviewed some women who have achieved some position in the society and making their own niche.

Anuradha Shankar Singh, DIG is working in the police department and has worked to upgrade the image of Police in the society. She says 'Women need no special day to be recognised. I would advice women to have full confidence in themselves whenever they come out in the society. Whatever they do, they must do it with full self respect and have confidence in their abilities. They are equally capable with their male counterparts'.

Archana Shrivastava, National President, Savarn Samaj Party says 'I express my happiness on this special day and congratulate the female fraternity which have made their own position in the society. They have fulfilled all responsibilities on all fronts and contributed in the development of the country. The concept of women reservation is O.K. Women need no reservation but right opportunity to move forward freely. Men too, should know their responsibility of supporting them. Women should become self-reliant and self- dependent'.

Komal Pandey, Senior Leader, BSP says 'Firstly, I would like to congratulate all my sisters on this day. Today women need to strengthen themselves on economic and mental levels. There is a need to implement all those schemes, which are made for the welfare of women. Women should come forward showing their unity and they should equally contribute in the development of the country. Women should develop the ability to take decisions independently'.

Archana Sahaya, Director, Aarambh Institute says 'Women should become aware and self- reliant. They must realise their power and oppose exploitation. We should ensure good education to the girl child to make them achieve right position in the society. Policies and schemes should be made keeping women welfare under consideration. Then only, women would be able to get proper place and standing in the society'.

Madhuri Mishra, Manager, Anand Dham Aashram says 'It is good to have facilities like reservation and policies for women empowerment but women should understand their importance too. The most important thing for women in the present times is that they should become literate and self- reliant. Then only, they can contribute in country's development and would be able to get right position in the society'.

V Anuradha Singh, Kathak Dancer says 'Women should strive in the right direction. They must realise that they have equal rights with men. She should not only play its roles practically but emotionally also. Then only she can contribute significantly in the development of the nation and society. They must know one thing very clearly that if there is a problem then there must be a solution to it'.

Krishna Gaur, Vice President, BJP Women Front says 'It is every woman's wish to excel in life. Those who could not come forward, they must make sincere efforts. They should not feel themselves weak but should be vocal and raise voice against exploitation. Coming time will be of women. BJP Government has made every possible effort to empower women. Governmental and NGO's must work together to make women self-reliant. This will ensure all round development of women in the society'.

Seema Singh, President of BJP (women) says 'Firstly, I would congratulate women on the occasion of Women's day. I would advice all my sisters to work with full devotion and sincerity in their respective fields. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has made many schemes for the welfare of women. They should take full advantage of them in making themselves self- dependent. Women should become aware of their rights and it would automatically result in awareness of the whole society'.
