Bhopal, Mar 7: On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2008 Rani Avanti Bai Bravery Award-2007 and Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Social Service Award-2007 instituted by the State Government would be bestowed at a function. On this occasion, foundation stone for women's rest house would also be laid.

Former Union minister and Rajya Sabha member Ms Sushma Swaraj would be the chief guest of the function to be held at 11 am on March 8 at Jawahar Bal Bhawan. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would preside over the function. The special guests who would grace the occasion include Women and Child Development and Social Justice Minister Ms Kusum Singh Mehdele, Minister of State for Women and Child Development and Public Health Engineering Gangaram Patel, Minister of State for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Ms Ranjana Baghel, General Administration and Aviation and Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ms Meena Singh.
