Victory against Aussies biggest moment of my career: Tendulkar

Agencies

Brisbane, Mar 6: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who inspired team India to create history Down Under after 23 years, has said that victory against Australia could be the biggest moment of his career.

"I`m feeling so proud. It`s probably the biggest moment in my career," Tendulkar said.

Tendulkar is not prone to exaggeration, but he understands the enormity of the achievement, and is backed by former Indian opener Ravi Shastri in his assessment.

"If you look at Indian cricket, this is the greatest-ever win since the 1983 World Cup and the 1985 World Championship," Shastri said.

"Beating Australia two-zip in a final, when they are the world champions - that is some achievement," he added.

Shastri believes that the four-Test series pencilled in for this year will see the two sides compete on an even footing.

Meanwhile, Indian shipper captain MS Dhoni said that the win was better than the side`s unexpected efforts in the Twenty20 world championships.

"It can`t get better than this," Dhoni said.

"We played against the top team in the world. Our team did well in all the departments, whether in bowling, fielding. Credit goes to the entire team," he added.
