Kashmiri Shawl centre of attraction

Bhopal, Mar 6: There is a wonderful exhibition of summer wear at Bhopal Haat. Along with this, handicrafts from South Indian states, Haryana and Rajasthan are attracting people's attention. All these goodies are being offered at the ongoing National Handloom Expo where beautiful clothings and handmade, decorative and household items are available. In this grand event, weavers and artists from more than a dozen states are participating. The stalls set in this national expo are witnessing huge gatherings. This time, certain items are quite new to the people of the city in which furniture, carpets, bed-sheets, bangles worth special mention.

One cant help taking a view of the artistry of Kashmiri work on Shawls, Pillows and Pillow covers. With temperature soaring day by day, women are preferring to buy cotton sarees for their general use. Similarly, Girls show inclination towards Salwaar-Kurta, Midi, Gown and Skirt. In long skirts, there are items which are fashionable as well as cosy. Among Gents outfits, there is a blend between tradition and modernity, which is very much visible. In this fair, there is great demand of Gents 'Kurta-Pyjama', 'Kurtis', 'Lungees' and 'Angochas'. We have tried to know people's reaction towards this event.

Neha says 'This time the items available are much better than last year. They are fashionable and comfortable which help us to look different'.

Hemant says 'This time, I have bought a pair of Kurta-Pyjama from this fair. I like this dress very much as it is very comfortable'.

Savitri Mehta says 'There is so much in the fair to buy but I have bought cotton sarees and bedsheets. The things available here are not only good but have variety in it'.

Sonam, who has come to visit this fair says 'Everything displayed here attracts me to buy as they are very beautiful. I have bought a cotton suit and some items of interior decoration'.

R.K.Parmar says 'It is very difficult in summer season to decide about clothing which should be comfortable and good looking. This fair solves all that problem. The variety in cotton cloths available here is worth appreciating'.
