China to spend 17.6 per cent more on defence budget 

Beijing, Mar 4:
China today announced a whopping 17.6 per cent rise in its Defence Budget for 2008 but strongly defended the spending on military, saying it was lower than that of other major powers including India.
 
India should get time to work out internal issues on N deal:US 

Washington, Mar 4:
As prominent US lawmakers asked India to stick to a July timeline on the nuclear deal, the Bush administration has said it wants to see that the agreement "moves forward" as soon as possible and India gets an opportunity to work out "internal political issues".

Twenty-eight Al-Qaida militants have been arrested by Saudi security forces for allegedly funding the terror outfit's activities in the country with donations collected in the garb of helping the poor in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
