Criminal waste of public money

The advertisement issued by UP Government on Union Budget is a criminal waste of public money. The full page colour 'ad' published in national and state dailies would have surely cost a minimum of Rupees one crore. Mayawati, UP CM should answer following questions: did she approve this ad, its contents and media for its publication? did she specifically approve that her colour photograph must appear? did she explore whether there were many more media, at a fraction of cost, for voicing her and her government's resentment against the Union Budget, rather than a paid 'ad'? why did she not tell her reactions through a national level press conference besides press briefings by professionals of her Information & PR Department? what was the primary objective of such an 'ad' - per personal projection or provoking people of her State against the Union Government? Is she prepared to pay for this 'ad' from the huge wealth amassed by her through the so-called spontaneous donations to her personal kitty instead of making public pay for it? did the people of UP vote her to power for indulging in such criminal waste of public money or for spending each paisa for improving the lot of people in the bimaru state of UP?

Some NGO or some individual should put in a PIL petition in the Supreme Court questioning the rationale and connected issues. At the same time GoI should issue a stern warning to her to stop this slandering and mud-slinging campaign. Let UP Government and GoI cooperate with each other in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. Let them not work against each other, instead, let them work for people's welfare.
