Four lakh daily wagers to demonstrate

Bhopal, Mar 4 : The daily wages, work charge and contract employees of the state, in support of their five-point demands, have decided to demonstrate at Vidhan Sabha after taking one day leave. Under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Manch, the daily wagers have set to demonstrate in the entire state simultaneously. The employees of Forest, Water Resources, PWD, Narmada Valley Development Authority, PHE, Woman and Child Development, Panchayat and Rural Development department would be participating in the demonstration.

State president of Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Manch, Ashok Pandey, Sharda Singh Parihar, Shriram Nigam, Rajesh Mathur, Bhagirath Vishwakarma, Premnarayan Singh, Dependra Raikwar addressed the meeting.

Pandey in a press release informed that 55000 daily wages emplyees, 82000 workcharge employees, 35000 contract employees and 1.35 lakh labourers would take one day leave and participate in the demonstration on March 5. They would take out a rally in their respective district headquarters and hand over a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister to the collectors.

Main demonstration would be held in front of the state Assembly. The rally would start at around 11am from Tin Shed and would reach Vidhan Sabha via New Market, Rang Mahal, Roshanpura and Malviya Nagar.

After demonstration in front of Vidhan Sabha this rally would set out for Chief Minister's residence where a memorandum would be handed over to Chief Minister about the five points demand. Pandey said that if the State government would not consider their demand and issue orders for their regularisation then the agitation would take an aggressive mode.

Direct recruitment flayed

The state government employees association has condemned the direct recruitment in the Technical Education department influenced with the bureaucrats. State president of the organisation, Sheel Pratap Singh in a statement issued here on Monday said that the state government restricting the departmental promotions has started direct recruitment in the Technical Education department. It is completely against the norms as the departmental employees have been waiting for promotion for years.

The organisation has decided to hand over a memorandum to the chief secretary and principal secretary of General Administration Department.
