Bhopal, Mar 3:
As soon as March began life style of Bhopalites got changed. A new season has knocked at the city i.e. examination season. Schools and colleges are busy in conducting examinations and this is clearly reflected in behaviour of students, as now they are not seen chatting with friends for hours, taking rounds of upper lake, hang at market place or going for movie. In some cases if it is not completely stopped then surely have diminished.
There are many categories by which these changes can be measured.
NO BIKE RIDING AND PLAYING CRICKET
Imran Rahi, student of BUMS, is preparing for his second half and that thing has changed his routine completely. His routine was to get up around 9 am and go to gym then take a round of upper lake and after college playing cricket with friends. Now he leaves bed anyhow on 6 am and gets on with studies. For the last 15 days he has not met friends and for 30 days not gone to upper lake. Now he talks to friends only on phone.
KHICHDI REPLACES BERGER-PIZZA
Mohammed Azhar, medical student, has changed his eating habits in view of examinations. He stopped eating high calorie Pizza-Berger and now his favourite dish is Khichdi because it is light in nature. He says heavy food causes lethargy so concentrate on studies becomes very difficult. Instead of going hotel for lunch and dinner he cooks Khichdi by his own on his room itself.
Topics of discussion changed
Previously students' topics of discussion were unlimited from film stars to cricketers to girl friends to what not but now generally even chatting on phone revolves around study and syllabus. A MSc student of MVM College, Shahbaz says he keeps his mobile either in vibration mode or switched off and generally discuses syllabus with friends rather than girl friends.
CUT ON EXPENSES
Shradha, student of MLB College, is surprised to know that her expenses have reduced phenomenally. She says generally she used to enjoy parties twice or thrice every week but now temporary stop in parties saving her money. Her friend Amrin, fond of shopping, is not getting time to go to the market and enjoying saving.
SLEEPING HOURS DECREASE
Students are habitual of going to bed late on night and also wake up late in the morning. Student of B Com Management, Sanjay now gets up early in the morning around 6 am as against 9 am of his habit. He says getting up early is very helpful as it keeps you fresh entire day. Initially he felt some problem in it but not now. Ramya, B Sc Electronics (honors) student of College of Excellence, says that she goes to bed around 12 in the night but makes sure to get up at 5 am. Both timings are suitable for study as everything remains quiet.
