Give special diet to examinees

Bhopal, Mar 3: Exam time has come and students are fully involved in making preparations to face it. They are leaving no stone unturned as far as their studies are concerned and are busy day in and day out. The tension about exam is not only limited to students but has transferred to their parents too. They are very much concerned about preparation and performance of their wards. In this time, mothers have a significant role to play in taking special care of children. They have a great responsibility in providing hygienic and healthy food to children. Students need special diet, which is not only helpful in giving energy but increase memory also.

Dr Manjula Vishwas, a Nutritionist says about diet during exams 'Children are afraid of studies during exam time that is why they need affection with such food which maintains their health and beneficial for their brain power. They should be given milk, fruits and juice both times. They should be given two to three servings of meals in a day. Take care of giving proper diet to them.

Sudha Handa, a Nutriotionist by profession says 'One should be very careful about the diet of children. But mothers should take special care about this during exam time. In this time, they should be given milk with almonds. Sprouted grains are very good for them. Give them such food, which is full of calories, iron and protein'.

Rama Yadav, a housewife says 'I am very particular about my children's diet intake during exams because if they eat healthy food, it will have a direct impact on sound performance. I give them Juices, fruits and supplementary things like 'Shankhpushpi' and 'Bournvita'.

I make sure that they should not feel dehydrated during studies and for this I ensure supply of water at regular intervals'.

Asha Lalwani, a housewife says 'Children need special attention regarding their diet from their parents as they feel mental and physical exhaustion more during exam time. To refresh and revive, they need energy giving food. I give them lemon water along with nutritious diet. I avoid giving fried or roasted food and ensure supply of fresh and seasonal fruits to them.

Give fresh food to eat

Give fruits and juices

Avoid fried and roasted food

Give sprouted grains

Ensure sufficient intake of water
