CM makes surprise inspection of hostel

Bhopal, Mar 2: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a surprise inspection of Government Excellence Boys Pre-Metric Hostel at Narsingarh today. The Chief Minister was pleased to see good cots, well-laid beds and neat and clean children at the hostel and said that such arrangements should continue. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Rustam Singh was also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister went to all the rooms of the hostel and saw the beds there. He also talked to the hostellers and enquired from them about food and studies. The students told the Chief Minister that they get rice, Roti, cooked vegetables, Papad and Halwa. Food is served everyday at 11 am and 7 pm apart from breakfast. The Chief Minister told the students to say everything clearly so that if there is shortcoming, it can be removed.

Chouhan also inspected the kitchen. Pulses and vegetables were being cooked there. In a lighter vein, he said the aroma of food is very good, but it seems that the pulses are somewhat more watery. Lauding the works of the hostel superintendent, the Chief Minister asked him to continue such good arrangements in future also. It the students are given better facilities, they would make their studies in a better way. He said that the per student stipend has been increased from Rs 350 to Rs 500. Better food should be provided to the students by utilising this amount.

The Chief Minister also visited the house of local MLA Mohan Sharma where he participated in family function. Talking to people present there, he said that he would soon make a tour of Narsingarh for coming face-to-face with the masses. He also gave the assurance to take action of the applications presented to him.

Those present on the occasion included MLA Badrilal Yadav, other people's representatives, collector, superintendent of police, CEO District Panchayat and other officers.
