Mishra: A responsible youth holds the opportunity for
leading his country in realising its' dreams. No doubt, in
the present throat-cut competitive world, youth has to prioritise
his goals. Young minds having social service in mind opt for
Administrative Services. India being known world over as IT
powerhouse due to the young people excelling in technology
sector. Priority, not only helps in achieving targets on time,
but also teaches us disciplene. A undirectional youth is good
for nothing. Youth should set his priorities according to
his interest and without wasting his precious time and knowledge,
should materialize his priorities.
Alka
Dixit: Present day youth is aware of the socio-economic
changes in the society. Liberalization and openness has
thrown various challenges to him and the survival readjustment
has become tough. Today's youth faces the problems of how
to achieve competitive edge over others.
This age is proof to fast life, clubs, pubs, bikes and drugs, emotional depressions and haste in doing things. All these lead to failures in life as well as induce frustrations. The demand from the society is more and self-contribution is negligible.
The topmost priority in life for the youth should be cool mind. He must set aside anxieties and haste.
This is followed by the educational qualification and career planning. The youth in the coming time will be paid for the skills he possesses. It must be borne in the mind that his responsibilities towards his family and the society is important. Today's youth thinks himself as supreme. But nothing can be obtained by this attitude. The youth needs to take up positive thinking and divert his energy to creativity and explorations. All these things need enough energy. The proper and healthy food, exercise should be his top most activity. The yoga, gym and adventure sports and entertainment - all come in the priority list.
The youth must feel that life is meant for living up to its utmost and not for just consuming food and thinking always of an easy living without any hurdles and difficulties.
There is always time to do good things life.
Subhash
C Agrawal: Only priority for present day youth in life
is opportunities to earn not only for normal livelihood
but to fulfill daily emerging new dreams as he/she advances
further. With recession in trade and industry, middle-income
youth has to look out for jobs which can maintain his status
in the society like might have been in good old days of
his family-business.
Better would have been if talent in present-day's youth would be best utilized to govern this great nation. If Indian youth can benefit multi-national companies at senior posts through their talent, why we cannot evolve a refined governance-system which may best utilize young-talent to govern the nation through its political system as well rather than being dictated in their capacity as young IAS officers by outdated political rulers. But it can only be possible without fixing an upper age-limit to contest elections in a system where dynastic politics make politicians play politics like family-business to mint money!
Anil
Purohit: Youth is the spring of Life. It is the age
of discovery and dreams. National progress depends, crucially,
on the ways and means through which the youth are encouraged
and nurtured as a positive force for national progress and
are enabled to contribute to socio-economic development.
Youth development is a multi-faceted concept. Young middle-class Indians are the happiest people of all and much more satisfied with all aspects of their lives. The priorities of Indian youth - work, good career and a position with high status are reflected in their values such as endurance and entrepreneurship. Indian youth are also strikingly more optimistic about their own future and also about the future of the society. Even though, family is a strong focal point in an Indian society, youths here showed little interest in having a family and children of their own.
Vision 2020 can be better achieved only by young generation of India. It is well known that India is home to a significant proportion of youth of the world today. Youth is wholly experimental and with the full utilization of the talents, India will become a complete Nation.
Adhinath
Jha: The youth's life period is a golden one, it is
a matter to be thankful to the parents and God Almighty.
Nowadays many youths are getting diverted towards destructive
purposes, therefore it is misuse of youth life. The career
making should be main ambition for youth, although the reconstruction
of nation also matters.
In the youth's career lies the making of a nation too. A smiling youth gave is a blessing to the society and the nation. There are many problems and issues in society meriting the youths attention for solution. Youth should set good ideals and change as per requirements. It is fact that the modern society has adopted western culture readily, but it is also ironic that this culture is affecting our way of thinking, so youth are getting diverted to unusual directions and losing their golden period of life.
In my opinion the priority of youth should be his career.
Sonu
Mittal Gupta: In my opinion, first priority should be
always to become a better human being and a better citizen.
These days people are giving more importance to money which
is not good. Money is important but it not everything. We
should focus our energies to live a disciplined life and
do our duties sincerely. Then only we can take our country
on the path of progress. Youths should concentrate on attaining
more knowledge which only can make them updated and successful
in life. They should keep away from impressionable things.
Young generation should become more sympathetic towards
elders because their good wishes would help them to reach
the heights of success. To conclude, once again I would
say that we can make this world a happy place by disciplining
ourselves and doing our work honestly and sincerely.
Shilpa
Gupta: The youths are very attracted to the glamour
and they are connecting with western culture and they are
forgotten all their duties to the society and the nation.
Every time they think about career, it's good. But, simultaneously, they should not forget their duties like, duties towards the family, what should they do for their parents and for other family members. For their career, they think that if they do not adopt western culture than society will not accept them. So, they are accepting all western activities, like social drinking and late night parties etc. It's very dangerous for girls because they are victimized by society and it can create major problems for our society. Boys are also victimized mentally and physically by society. In our society, many personalities are there, who haven't accepted this type of activity, like, Lata Mangeshkar.
So, in my opinion the youths are only focusing on career and they are doing all negative activities. I want to say that definitely you must get your goals but don't play with your lives because it's a gift of God and your special family members are connected with your life.
Mahendra
Garwa: We are the people of India where 65% population
is youth.
Today youth wants to earn more and more money. Their dreams are
To live lives with luxurious lifestyles. Globalization has converted world into a village. In this village our youth is ignoring its duties and responsibilities to the society. In present time in society many problems like dowry system, differences between boys & girls, no respect for elders are present. According me first priorities of youth should be to solve problems and make a new golden India as it is related to our national progress
Malyachal Mishra:
As we know very well that "Youth can make very bright future
of any country" but in this globliged age where whole world
is becoming a small village there everything is just changing.
Youths who are the future of our society, are changing their
priorties. They just want to earn more & more money.
They want to buy a good house, attractive job on handsome salary package &
good vehicle also. They want to live with nuclear family not in a joint family
because they think the joint family would increase their expenses. They are searching new ways for getting more money & for this they
are doing lots of work. Due to this reason they are losing their social &
personal life. In society they have no existence. They are involved in more
competition for getting more money & due to this they have a lot of tension.
For removing tension they are taking to smoking, drinking, drugs, cocaine
etc.
In the last they are losing themselves, their families &
society also. Whole world is facing this problem but nobody is taking
initiative to solve it. But if we want to really remove these problems then
we have to take initiative to solve it.

Gupta: Youth is the powerhouse, hope and future of the
nation. Youth have an inexhaustible intrinsic energy and
present modern civilization is the product of the creative
genius of the youths who brought many significant scientific,
technological, literary marvels into the world.
Every youth has 24 hours at his disposal; it depends upon person to person how he spends his time. Time is money and it should be caught at the right time and place, otherwise the opportunities are lost. At the stage of adolescence, a youth is capable of planning his future himself. If he works hard and burns midnight oil for his studies, he is bound to succeed with brilliant colours irrespective of whatever faculty of learning he chooses.
Even with a moderate intelligence, one can have great academic achievement in the university examinations. It is proper education which brings results. If somebody gets a godfather, he is really fortunate.
Education of a youth can bring revolution in his life. One should live for the nation, work for the nation and even die for the nation. Youth with above mindset become great like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Ravindra Nath Tagore.
Youth should have good health and in its absence nothing remarkable can be achieved. For keeping oneself healthy, regular exercises, jogging, morning walk, games, sports and yoga is a must. The healthy mind lives in a healthy body hence there should not be any negligence. At the same time the youth should not ignore the plea of the soul. Mercy, kindness, compassion, non-violence and love for the poor and needy ones are noble and desirable aspects and qualities the youth should inculcate in themselves.
Lastly maximum time ought to be devoted for studies. Time should not be unnecessarily wasted watching TV programmes, movies, unnecessary travels, fruitless functions and bizarre activities like fashion shows and musical programmes.
Life is not a bed of roses; only painstaking hard work, a disciplined life and good character brings the desired fruits. Young age is a time when the youth can make or spoil their lives.
Adhering to quality of life should be one of the priorities, a noble life can be achieved by leading a simple life. Simple living and high thinking solves many day-to-day problems and lessens stress in life. Our great leaders have shown us the path of non-violence and truth which leads to peace and tranquility.
SS
Chitwadgi: Youths form the basic strength of a nation.
Each youth has his/her own priorities in life. Let me start
from a youth of a rural India. With all the adversities
one faces, the most important object would be to reconcile
with one's own family members. In so doing youth should
give priorities to parents, brothers and sisters. If one
is married, one's own family too should be taken care of
as a next best consideration to his elders at home. The
economic living calls for balancing the expenditure to suit
earning of a family as a unit. He should try hard to increase
income in one's own ways to live a better life. Of late
youths try to rush to urban centres to search for more income.
While this ambition is welcome, migration often disturbs
family peace. This should be avoided particularly by agriculture
based youths. It is observed that farming is facing serious
setback for want of youths executing farming activities.
Of course none can force choice of youth in one's own profession
but care should be taken family unit safety and security.
Likewise other craftsmen should follow suit before one migrates. Those youths more ambitions for higher education one should but on reconciling oneself with his family circumstances.
Let me come to urban youths. They have a lot of avenues to prosper. Education is the first priority. Technical education attracts youths. Likewise youths can go to any faculty on their aptitude. Loan facilities are easily available for bright students. Although business for qualified is also open, but involves mostly capital.
The topmost priority for youth is nation's security and integrity for which one should proudly possess robust Indian-ness not regionalism and excellent health.
KC
Mouli: Youth have always been looked upon with great
hope.Be it mythological era, historical age or modern times.
There are any number of examples to substantiate this Youth
is full of energy and power. They can play a constructive
role if properly steered and can also be as destructiove
as an atomic expolosion. What is needed is a proper leadership.
In this backdrop what should be the priorities of youth? In a secular State like India the first priority should be youth's identification with the Nation. They should be proud to be Indians first and religious, casteist, linguistic and cultural identities later. The next priority should be national language and then the mother tongue and later on the link language that weaves the Nation's youth into one strong fabric.
Grooming among themselves leadership with these qualities is another priority so that the youth power is not wasted on destructive activities like the ones that have been occurring intermittently in Maharashtra,Rajasthan,Punjab,Bengal,U.P.,Bihar and other states. Identity of being an Indian (bharatiya asmita) should be the topmost priority for the youth of the day rather than parochial identifications.
Since only through education and knowledge such a nationalistic approach could be developed, highest priority should be accorded to wholesome education- not education on parochial lines and the ritualistic literacy that enables only putting up a signature and satisfies political class as one of their achievements. Youth's priority should therefore not be in indulging in agitations, loot, arson, killings, molestations, rapes etc. but the development of the Nation as a whole. The earlier youth is inspired on these lines the better would it be for the Nation as well as themselves.
RK
Kutty: Youths are the backbone of any nation. They bubble
with activities. Before the youths set priorities in their
life, they need to know what life itself is. Most of the
youths have no clear idea about this aspect, as this can
only be understood with at least a moderate knowledge of
spiritual matters.
It is a sad irony that in these days, there is neither any moral education at homes nor in schools/colleges where the youths spend most of their time. This has literally made the youth directionless. Now a dayâ€(tm)s most of the youth are like sheep roaming aimlessly. We are living in a highly competitive world where only the fittest alone can survive. In a country like ours where caste, class, religion, race and region are the criteria determining the selection, there are endless wait for millions of youths who are otherwise eligible but for these criteria. Now, regionalism too is raising its ugly head, as we see in Mumbai (Maharashtra) thus youths are turning the most disheartened lots. And the more frustration sets in them, the more would be their chances to go astray. Such youths finally ends up in rouge/rowdy behavior, some join in religious/political terrorism, vandalism, naxalism/Maoism et. al.
A few youths of naxal movement were earlier caught in Bhopal where they were running an arms factory under the cover of a lathe machine. The investigating team of police men got wonder struck at the brilliancy and knowledge of these youths. The root cause of the naxal menace this country faces today is our wrong policies in providing employment where the eligible, educated and genuine candidates do not get it but other factors/criteria and considerations rob them of their chances. Such dejected youths cannot set any priorities in their life. None, not even their parents, can help them out. In fact, their frustration creates lots of problem for their parents as well. When such youths find it difficult to cope up with the day-to-day changes in life-styles around them, they are left with no other chance but to turn to un-orthodox methods.
Syed
Zia Ul Hasan Naqvi: Present day youth is starry eyed,
interested to lead idyllic existence they dislike disheveled
appearance so they are mostly fashionable and upto > date.
Pomp and show is the first passion of these people for attaining

In general the priority of every youth is a comfortable life full of pomp > and show without taking into consideration how to earn money and this is the > main reason of indulging in corrupt practices .On the contrary our > priorities should be to make these youths good citizens by inculcating moral > values in them right from their childhood. RJ
Khurana: The present day youth is much more aware, ambitious,
fame-conscious, technologically empowered, relatively free
from taboos and globalized than his counterparts about 20
years or so back. By and large, his priorities consist of
a good education, a well-paid job, plenty of creature comforts
like a house, a car, modern day gadgetry, a healthy bank
balance, a compatible spouse followed by smart kids and
something more to tickle his fancies and spur him to touch
greater heights. He strongly believes that all this is achievable.
He is less religious and more spiritual, less hide-bound
and more open to new ideas, less family-oriented and more
individualistic and less introvert and more extrovert. His
priorities in life are constantly changing depending upon
how the circumstances and the opportunities present themselves.
