Its exam time, now

Bhopal Today Team

Bhopal, Feb 22: It is an old saying that hard work never goes waste and always pays. But to materialise this fact it is necessary that hard work should be in the right direction otherwise everything goes futile. The biggest example of this we see, when number of students fail, as they don't work in the right direction and are not well guided. It is a proven fact that the work, which is well planned coupled with able guidance always results in success. In this context, we have tried to know those tips, which can lead us to the path of success. Generally, children take examinations as a difficult thing but in reality, it's just their psychological fear, which make them afraid of taking exams. This fear results in bad performance, sometimes. But we are trying to remove this fear from the minds of these students and helping them to prepare for the exams. Parents too, are also sparing time from their busy schedule to help their wards in preparing for the exams. Teachers are also working in the same direction.

How to get through the exams

Rajendra Jasuja says 'We are helping students in preparing difficult topics, keeping Board exams in mind. The syllabus in our school is complete and students are doing revision. We are taking help of answer sheets of previous toppers of board exam in preparing these students. We are focussing on presentation during exam time and for this we are taking tests on weekly basis. They are made to learn to perform during exam within the stipulated time'.

Shalini Argal, who is an English teacher in Subhash Higher Secondary School, says 'Since exams are near, we are giving such assignments to the students, which would be helpful for them during exams. We are also solving their personal problems and telling them the ways to score good marks in the exams. From time to time, we are conducting counselling sessions for them. They have been explained about how to solve difficult matters. We are giving special attention to these students to perform well in the exams'.

Sudipta Pal who is a teacher of English says 'It is very important that student should not feel nervous during exam time. We are revising syllabus these days so that the students should not feel nervous and write exam with a cool mind. It is generally seen that despite of year long study, some students could not score well in the exams and the reason for this is that they feel nervous during exam time'.

Varsha Mehndiratta is an efficient housewife and a wonderful mother. She says 'Exam is a test not only of my children but mine too. I try to prepare them with full dedication. My daughter has scored 95 percent marks in the exam for which the credit goes to her teachers and her hard work. My job is to give her emotional and family support. I help in doing her home work and try that she should prepare thoroughly. Whenever she feels down, I provide her moral support. It is important that parents must help their wards not only in their studies but also on emotional level. I ensure that she should get sufficient time to play along with studies and for this I prepare a schedule. I motivate her to do the work and leave rest to the Almighty. I keep her free from stress and help in developing a positive approach. If we teach our wards throughout the year then they cannot face problem in studies during exam time'.

Uditi says 'My mother is always with me and she is like my teacher. She solves every problem of mine. She gives me so much moral support that I feel everything easy to do'.

Ashutosh says 'There is some nervousness during exam time but I believe that this testing time would pass on easily by the support of my parents'.
