Workshop on transformer repair and maintenance

Bhopal, Feb 22: A workshop on 'Supply Transformer Repair and Maintenance' was inaugurated by the CMD of Central Region Electricity Distribution Company Sanjay Shukla at Regional Training Centre at situated at Govindpura.

Shukla in his address appealed to reduce the existing failure rate of transformers as it cause financial loss to the company and interruption in electricity supply to the consumers.

He exhorted the ground level officers to earmark supply transformers of inaccessible terrains before the onset of Monsoon.

It is worth mentioning that the company is organising a two day workshop in Bhopal and Sehore in which line men, Junior Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Executive Engineers, Superintending Engineers are taking part. Line staff would be trained in Sehore about Transformer maintenance.

In the beginning, Technical Advisor SR Chavhan presented the outline of Workshop. Executive Director AK Shrivastava also addressed the workshop.

Executive Director (Gwalior Region) GS Kalsi in his addressed emphasised on work plan keeping condition of the area under consideration.

Chief Engineer (Bhopal Region) PK Mishra in his address termed Transformer as life line of Electricity supply system.

Technical Advisor SC Saxena, Training Officer Teeturkar, Executive Engineer Gadarwara Sone trained the participants of the workshop through various presentations.

The programme was conducted by Publicity Officer Manoj Dwivedi whereas Raju Deharia proposed the Vote of Thanks.
