Bhopal, Feb 22:
A series of expert lectures was organised under the joint aegis of Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Truba Institute of Engineering and Information Technology and IETE Student Chapter from February 18 to 22 for the students. Professor RK Baghel from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) delivered lecture on electronic circuits.
The key component of electronic circuits is a transistor, which was the greatest invention of the twentieth century. Electronic circuits using transistors allow the development of low power miniaturized electronic devices. Professor Tarun Gupta from MANIT explained digital circuits working on the logic of "1" and "O" find applications in computers, mobile phones and other consumable products. Dr Roopam Gupta from University Institute of Technology, RGPV delivered a lecture on analog and digital communication.
While analog communications use a continuously varying signal, a digital transmission can be broken down into discrete messages. Information storage can be easier in digital systems than in analog ones. The noise-immunity of digital systems permits data to be stored and retrieved without degradation. The HOD, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Professor Kavita Burse informed that the expert lectures would help students understand the basic concepts in engineering, which enables the students to apply knowledge to build future technology. Pankaj Dandir, Secretary of Truba Group of Institutes Dr SC Kapoor, Director, Professor TRD Sinha, Principal thanked the experts for sharing their precious time.
