Rice to attend South Korean inauguration

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to Seoul for the inauguration of South Korean President-elect Lee Myung-bak on Feb. 25 and then on to China and Japan, the State Department said on Friday.

1,000 dead from cold snap in Afghanistan 

Kabul, Feb 16:
Nearly 1,000 people have died in heavy snowstorms and severe cold during the harshest winter to hit Afghanistan in 30 years, the disaster authority said on Saturday.
