Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is fast climbing up the ladder of popularity. This is evident from the results of survey conducted by India Today-Nelson-ORG-MARG. The survey was named as 14h Mood of the Nation Poll. The results have been carried in the latest issue of India Today with details of fluctuating fortunes of chief ministers of various states.
In the survey, 53 percent persons have put the performance of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh in the categories of 'best' and 'good'. Another striking fact has also come to the fore in the survey that only two percent voters have put Chouhan in the category 'poor'. While 15 percent voters termed Shivraj Singh as outstanding Chief Minister, 38 percent of them found him to be good and 16 percent average. Not only this, but Shivraj Singh stands third in popularity among the chief ministers of BJP-ruled states.
This survey was conducted to assess the best chief ministers in the country on the basis of their performances and works. This political survey was done with elections in view. Chief ministers' overall popularity was made the basis of the survey.
