Bhopal, Feb 11: On the occasion of Vasant Panchami Vasatan Utsav was celebrated in the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University for Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) on Monday.

The programme was started with Saraswati Poojan followed by garlanding the portrait of goddess Saraswati. In order to invoke the goddess, the students sang Saraswati Vandana. The programme was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the University Achyutanand Mishra.

On this occasion students read self composed poems and folk songs. Himanshu sketched the picture of spring in front of audience's eyes through his poem and Deepak Gautam focused on the relationship between the spring and nature. Adinath put forward the changes that took place in the spring in his poem. Besides dozen of students presented their self-composed poems in front of audience here.
