Tanveer Khan honoured with Best Sound Award

Bhopal, Feb 9: Tanveer Ahmed Khan, working with Doordarshan Kendra Bhopal, has been awarded with the certificate of merit under Doordarshan Annual Awards-2007. He was given the Best Sound Award by famous Sarangi player Pandit Ramnarayan for the classic telefilm 'Gulra Ke Baba' directed by Mohan Dwivedi.

The chief guest on this occasion was PR Dasmunshi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting in the presence of special guests like Udit Narayan, Anoop Jalota, and Parikshit Sahni. While gazal singer Jagjit Singh, Singer Kailash Kher, Actress Varsha Usgaonkar, Gracy Singh gave colourful performance in the programme.

The programme would be telecast on the national network of DD-1 today at 9:30 pm, an official press statement informed here on Saturday.
