Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's helicopter landed suddenly at village Tewra in Khurai tehsil of the district. He met the villagers who had gathered around him, heard their problems and instructed the concerning officers to solve them.
The Chief Minister assured the villagers to fulfil their demand of opening a high school in the village from the next session. He also instructed the officers to include the names of eligible persons in the BPL list and removed the names of those who are not eligible. He gave instructions for conducting the survey of beneficiaries of social security/old age pension at the earliest and make the scheme's benefits available to the eligible persons. Villagers complained to him about getting less quantity of kerosene.
The Chief Minister issued orders to an immediate probe into the matter. He instructed the officers to tally the figures of quota by going through records of the last six months. Some villagers told the Chief Minister about their crops being affected by dew and he instructed the officers to conduct a survey. Giving instructions to Water Resources Department to conduct a survey for renovation of water reservoir, he said that as far as possible the work should be started at the earliest and if not possible then this water reservoir be renovated by getting the work sanctioned under any other scheme.
The Chief Minister also instructed Sagar collector to take officers of all the departments to villages and hold camps there so that rest of villagers' problems can be solved on the spot.
