Kidney racket: case registered against Upendra

Faridabad, Feb 7: A case has been registered against Dr Upendra, one of the accused arrested in the kidney transplant racket, and his hospital manager Jaswant in Ballabgarh city. The case was registered on Wednesday night by police in Ballabgarh in connection with the mysterious deaths of three Turkish nationals, police sources said today. The three Turkish nationals Mehmet (55), Ismat (62) and Ahmet (65) had died while being treated at Dr Upendra's hospital for kidney ailments between 2003 and 2005, they said. Even though Dr Upendra claimed that these persons died due to heart attack, the police suspect that they lost their lives during transplant operation. Jaswant is still absconding.
