Talents students awarded

Bhopal, Feb 7: February 7 was an eagerly awaited day for the students of St Theresa's Girls School, as it was their day, when their multifarious talents would be publicity acclaimed and they would receive prizes for their display. The Management believes in developing the holistic personality of its wards and in order to achieve goal, it has conducted innumerable competitions for different classes in order to bring to light, the dormant talents of the children.

Sure of the fact that every child is a bundle of possibilities, it has provided every opportunity to the students to develop their creative spark. To name a few there were debates, elocution story telling, story writing, mental mathematics, quiz and many other competitions were organised. In addition, there were drawing and painting competitions, flower and salad decoration, poster making, slogan competition, solo-singing, instrumental music, so on and so forth.

Vijay Joshi, General Manager of BHEL, Bhopal was the chief guest of the function. A short prayer service and entertainment programme was also organised and it was the part of the prize distribution ceremony to make it more lively and entertaining. After giving away the prizes, Joshi, who himself is a multi-faceted personality, appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated them on their success. While addressing them he lauded the efforts of the management in encouraging and motivating the students to become all-round personalities.

Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his opinion that the purpose of life is to justify one's birth and he congratulated the management in doing a great service to mankind and society most modestly and gracefully. He also urged students and teachers to let their light shine and contribute their bit in shaping the future of the country. He ended his speech by saying that we have lighted to enlighten and so we should let the fire of knowledge burn brighter and spread wider.

Fusion held at Bharat Bhavan

Bhopal, Feb 7: Seven-day photo exhibition 'Fusion' was organised at Bharat Bhavan's Rangayan Art Gallery. In exhibition many famous painters' masterpieces were kept and people appreciated it. Most of the works presented an abstract idea which left art connoisseurs spellbound.
