Bhopal defeat Dhar

Bhopal, Feb 6: Inter Police Station Volleyball Championship was started under the aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department from Wednesday at TT Nagar Stadium. The players of 48 districts of Madhya Pradesh took part in the championship. In the first day of the championship, total 20 matches were played as Vidisha team defeated Harda team by 2-0, Burhanpur defeated Mandsour team by 2-0, Sidhi defeated Ratlam by 2-0, Shahdol defeated Khargone team by 2-0, Umaria defeated Tikamgarh by 2-1, Damoh defeated Sehore team by 2-0, Sujalpur defeated Shivpuri by 2-0, Bhopal defeated Dhar by 2-0, Raisen defeated Dewas by 2-0, Mandla defeated Anuppur by 2-1, Chhatarpur defeated Ashok Nagar by 2-0, Gwalior defeated Shyopur by 2-0, Shiwni defeated Datia by 2-0, Hoshangabad defeated Balaghat by 2-0. In the first day, Dindori, Katni got back over.

Under this championship, winner team, sub-winner team would be given Rs 2 and 1 lakh respectively. An amount of Rs 50000 would be given as third prize. All the teams, who are taking part in the championship, they are being provided meal, accommodation at TT Nagar Stadium. Pre-Quarterfinal matches would be played on Thursday.

Asha Niketan students bag 10 gold medals

Bhopal, Feb 6: Special Olympic for hearing impaired children was organised in Mumbai on Feb 2. Around 800 participants of 18 states of the country took part in the Special Olympic. Students of Asha Niketan Hearing Impaired Higher Secondary School, C-Block, E-6, Arera Colony also took part in it and bagged 10 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals respectively.

Neha Rajput, student of standard IX bagged 3 gold medals in 200 and 400-meter race. Avinash Patel, student of standard XI bagged 2 gold and 1 bronze medal. Apart from this, Gaurav Shukla, Romika Gupta, Shikha Sudhakaran, Akash Gupta also bagged 1-1 medal respectively.
