Bhopal, Feb 6: Rose, the king of flowers has always been favourite with people but these days there is a special and a sharp rise in its demand. The bouquets of roses, which are widely loved and are famous for bringing smile on faces, are attracting everyone's attention. The reason is very clear as the Valentine's day is approaching fast. It is a well-known fact that loving couples gift their beloved to express feelings. But among the gifts, rose has its own special place, which is incomparable. If we talk about the latest trend then red roses and yellow roses are high in demand. Although there are several varieties of roses but its varieties named as Dutch and Gladiator are mostly liked.

Markets too, are fully geared up to celebrate Valentine's Day. There are shops of greeting cards and gifts out of which flower shops are being decorated especially. These shopkeepers are fully prepared to meet the demand of roses. Generally, the supply of roses in the capital is made from Poona and Bangalore and with the coming of the Valentine's day, its prices too, are soaring high. Under normal times, a rose piece costs between 8 to 10 rupees but on the occasion of Valentine's day there is spurt in its price. Markets are full of roses, these days. So, lets know why rose is so special?
