The Srishti Green Cube awards are annual awards for good green governance- for going that extra step beyond required compliance. Their aim is to encourage people and organisations for taking care of the environment with zeal.
The second green cube awards are to be presented in New Delhi in April 2008.
Applications are being invited from corporate entities in the following categories of business:
Manufacturing, service, infrastructure and utilities, education, tourism and hospitality and municipalities.
Additionally there will be special awads in the categories of NGOs in the field of environment, environmental journalism, research project on pollution control, research project of alternative energy resources.
Srishti- creativity in nature- Asia's first nature magazine in English, is an attempt to familiarise lay people with the beauty and diversity of nature. It hopes to convert nascent nature lovers to protectors of our natural heritage. Using eco-tourism as a platform, Srishti covers a magnitude of topics that are integral parts of nature- environmental friendly travel, wildlife, flora, adventure sports and nature locations. The last date of submission of entries (gcubeawards@gmail.com/ srishti@del2.vsnl.net.in) is Feb 18, 2008.
