Dubai, Feb 5: Sachin Tendulkar was the lone Indian among the top 10 batsman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) One-day rankings while South Africa's Shaun Pollock retired from the game by touching 500 points in the all-rounders' list.

Tendulkar, who became the first batsman to reach 16,000 ODI runs during his 35-run knock against Sri Lanka in the second match of the Commonwealth Bank Triangular One-day Series in Brisbane on Tuesday, slipped one spot but still remained at joint eighth with Australia's Mike Hussey with 727 rating points, ICC announced on Tuesday.

Tendulkar - and the others - could climb further up as India will play at least six more matches in the triangular series and an additional three if they reach the finals.

Yuvraj Singh, who failed to get going on Tuesday, has climbed one place to 11th with 711 points.

There are no Indians among the top 10 in the bowlers' list and the top five of the all-rounders' chart headed by former Proteas captain Pollock.

Pollock, who retired after 303 ODI appearances on Sunday after inspiring his side to a 5-0 win over the West Indies, grabbed six wickets and scored 43 runs in the series that helped him finish on 501 points - an impressive 128 points clear of second-placed Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka.

England's Andrew Flintoff is ranked third in the list while Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is in fourth position after breaking into the top five following a good home series against Zimbabwe, against whom he scored 158 runs and picked up 11 wickets.

Pollock also finished off as the top bowler in the bowlers' rankings. However, the 34-year-old player missed the coveted 900-mark by one point - he had reached 920 points after the fifth and last ODI against Pakistan in Johannesburg in 2007.

Pollock's 393 wickets, 4,056 runs and a third place in the all-time ODI bowlers' list, behind Joel Garner of the West Indies and Sir Richard Hadlee of New Zealand, makes him one of the greatest ODI all-rounders in the game's history.
