Sports meet held Women's Polytechnic

Bhopal, Feb 5: The Annual Function was organised under the guidance and conducting of the Sports-in-Charge of Government Woman Polytechnic College the other day at the college premises, Shivaji Nagar. Under this function, various sports competitions were also organised from January 30 to February 2 as 100, 200, 400-meter race, Juvenile, Table Tennis, Badminton, High Jump, Long Jump, Chess, Carrom etc championship.

Priyanka Goswami, student of fourth semester of Electronics and Telecommunication (ET) was awarded all rounder of the competitions. Sanghamitra Bankar, student of sixth semester, ET, Sapna Bhalekar, student of sixth semester, CDDS were awarded as the best players of the competitions. Sports Coach SD Tiwari said that the winner players will be taking part in State Level Competition-2008, which would be organised on February 29 at TT Nagar Stadium. All the winner players of all the polytechnic colleges of Madhya Pradesh will be taking part in competition.

Indian Teakando Team departs for Iran

Bhopal, Feb 5: National Teakando Camp was organised under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department in association with Teakando Federation of India at TT Nagar Stadium. Under this camp, the players of Teakando technique from all over the country took part and Teakando Coach-in-Charge Fariborge Oscari, Assistant Coach Ms Malti Prem Kumar and Prem Kumar were present. Oscari is the prominent coach of Iran, nowadays Iran is number 1 in Teakando in all over the world. Indian team was declared for taking part in Faz Cup, which would be organised in Iran from February 9 to 10. The Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Sanjay Chaudhari extended wishes and departed the Indian team for the championship.
