St Joseph's Co-Ed win cricket tourney

Bhopal, Feb 5: St Joseph's Co-Ed School won the Bhopal diocese inter-school sub-junior cricket tournament beating St Patrick School in the final by six wickets. The tournament was held at St Patrick School, Suhagpur recently.

Three schools participated in the tournament. They are St Joseph's Co-Ed School Bhopal, St Joseph's Co-Ed Pipariya and St Patrick School Suhagpur. St Joseph's Co-Ed Bhopal started the tournament on a disastrous note as they lost to tournament hosts St Patrick School by a huge margin of 92 runs.

However, the team came back strongly in the second match. They beat St Joseph's Co-Ed School Pipariya by eight wickets in the second match.

The final was played between St Joseph's Co-Ed Bhopal and St Patrick School Suhagpur. Suhagpur team batted first. St Joseph's Co-Ed Bhopal won the match by six wickets. Manish Parashar was declared man-of-the-match.

Principal of the school Fr Maria Stephen, Manager Fr Abraham, head coordinator Sr Julie, headmistress Sr Julie and teachers have congratulated the cricket team for bringing laurels to the school.
