Governor Dr Balram Jakhar distributed the prizes among the winners of a billiards championship here today in the presence of Mayor Sunil Sood. Dr Balram Jakhar was the chief guest of the programme. He would inaugurated the prize distribution ceremony at 5 pm. The Late Shiv Narayan Suryavanshi Memorial First Snooker/Billiard Open Championship was organised at The Chilex Snooker/Billiard Club, B-15, Kamla Nagar. Among those who were also present at the prize distribution ceremony included Madhya Pradesh Billiards Association president Dilip Suryavanshi, BDCA vice-president Aruneshwar Singhdeo, Chillex Snooker/Billiards Club director Prashand Dwivedi and large number of sports lovers and distinguished citizens.
'Dongie' race competition on Feb

Competition of 'Dongie' race is being organised at boat club upper lake on February 10. There are two phase of competition, one for below 19 years age and other, above 19 years age. Due to tough practice of Bhopal City and Bhopal rural competitors, it seems the real cutthroat competition can be viewed between these both participants. Both teams are making their best efforts to win the 'Dongie' race competition. Both teams have made it a question of prestige.
The rural team includes the villages based on bank of upper lank are Behta, Borband and Gaura, while city team includes Shaheed Nagar, Peergate and Chuna Bhatti. These both teams are trying their best to win the competition.. Rauaa Raikwar and Gyarsi Raikwar are giving special tips to the participating members.
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation is also providing the needful help and facility with special focus to make the competition successful. The manager of Boat club and manage Lahar Fast are in close touch with the participants.
To look the practice and arrangement of the competition it seems that there would be definitely a wonderful and memorable game on the waves of upper lake between two teams. It is also hoped that this competition will increase a new enthusiasm in city and village people. Fisherman society of city and villages both are trying their level best to encourage their supporters. Presence of this society would be a new experience for city people.
