Alok , Sarvesh, Rajendra share top honours

Bhopal, Feb 3: Arushi is a Bhopal based voluntary organization working for the empowerment of the disabled. There was a different kind of Car Rally, on Sunday the 3rd of February 2008. The visually impaired person had navigated a driver with normal vision, by reading the road book in Braille. The concept of the rally was initiated by Arushi, in association with Sightsavers International, Chirayu Hospital and Sarojini Naidu govt. girls pg college bhopal. Genius, the creative group has given the final shape to the event and Jeewan Motors, was the main supporter and contributor. The number of participants were 51.

The first car at Car Rally was flagged off by the Chief guest at the occasion Babulal Gaur, industrial minister at 9.30 a.m. from Jeewan Motors, which is opposite Maida Mill, Bhopal. Guest of Honour A. V. Singh, election commissioner, Ms Dipika Suri, Commandant 23 battalion were also present to flag of the cars. The area covered was around 40 K.M., all within Bhopal municipal limits.. There were number of cash and other attractive prizes for the winners. First prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by Mayoor school , second prize worth Rs 5000 and third prize of Rs 3000 were sponsored by Sightsavers International. There were walkmans from Airtel to best three navigators, FM Radios were given to all navigators sponsored by Sightsavers International, and special cash prizes from Sarojini Naidu Girls PG college to best female navigator and drivers and Talking Mobile to Best navigator from Saksham Trust New Dehli. The prize distribution was held in Jeevan Motors . Antony N.J from Sightsavers International, Mr. Jeevan Singh and Pawan Deep Singh from Jeevan Motors, Dr. Goenka From Chirayu Hospital, Mrs Seema Raizada from Sarojini Naidu College and Ms.Divya from Airtel were present to give away the prizes.

First Prize- Driver - Alok Nanda Navigator- Bharat Tiwari from Indore

Second Prize-Driver- Sarvesh Dubey Navigator-Rajendra from Bhopal

Third Prize- Driver- Santokh Singh Navigator- Bhola Singh from Chattarpur

 

MP School Teakando team bags 3 medals

Bhopal, Feb 3: National Level Inter School Teakando Championship was organised last month in Kerala and Madhya Pradesh School Team took part in the championship. The Pre-National Coaching Camp for Madhya Pradesh School Teakando team was also organised from January 20 to 24 at Residential Sports Institute, Sehore and Coach Rajesh Yadav gave training to the participants.

Madhya Pradesh team put up excellent performance and bagged three medals in National Level Inter School Teakando Championship. Aditya, Richa and Bharati bagged bornze medal respectively. The players brought glory the name of Madhya Pradesh and School Education Department.

The president of Madhya Pradesh Teakando Association Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Vijay Bathwi, Anil Singhewad, Baljeet Singh, Amar singh Tejrao Salve, Shersingh, Prem Narayan, Dilip Thapa etc players congratulated them for their achievement and they also wished for their bright future.
