In 11th national e-governance conference the government and semi-government institutions would be awarded for their best services in e-governance. Collector of Jabalpur, Sanjay Dubey would be given national golden icon award on February 7, 2008 for innovative usage of Technology in e-governance in the field of tele-Bhugtan. This award would be given at a function at Panchkula in Haryana.
Madhya Pradesh is leading fast in implementing e-governance services . State administration has received several important awards of Information Technology. Recently it has received three CSI Nihilent awards. Now Madhya Pradesh is being given national golden icon award for innovative Usage of Technology in e-governance.
Government of MP has started tele-bhugtan facility in Jabalpur which is based on e-governance.
State Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had inaugurated this facility on June 30, 2006 at Jabalpur. This facility not only proved best on national level but also going to be awarded by Government of India.
State government is doing its best in IT based facilities for paying bills.
According to Jabalpur collector, Sanjay Dubey, this facility is being provided under PPP in Jabalpur. People can pay their bills through tele-bhugtan service sitting at their home at any time through telephone or mobile. The applicant could pay bill even remaining out of station. It is available 24x7 days.
