With almost similar feelings every youth is keeping his or her fingers crossed for the advent of Valentine Day.

Despite hindrances at many places, youth remain undeterred in celebrating the occasion on February 14 year after year. The planning for Valentine Day starts as soon as the month begins and youths converge on markets to buy Valentine Day cards and gifts. Though the buying spree reaches crescendo from February 10 to 13 but many youths prefer to buy something for their beloveds when markets are not crowded. That is why shopkeepers are fully geared up with stocks of novel gifts and Valentine Day cards in keeping with the mood of the youth.

Magnificent collection of including Open Heart Card, Om Shanti Om, Couple, I Love You inscribed Couple's photo frame, big teddy bear with quotation and other novel cards and gifts is ready to lure the youth.

Archie's Company has come out with a novel offer to present a teddy bear as a free gift on the purchase of a Valentine Day gift. After all, this is a big occasion for youths when they try to impress each other by presenting cards and gifts. Variety Book House's Suresh Wadhwani said that youths prefer to buy large cards for Valentine Day.

It is for the fifth year in running that heart shape cards are in the market to lure the lovebirds. However, every year this cards undergoes slight change. This year Open Heart Shape cards are expected to attract the youths more, said Ravi Khattani of Archie's Gallery at 10 Number Market. Earlier, large number of youths used to purchase costly cards. But now the craze for costly gifts along with cards has also set in. Money is no constraints for youths when it comes to purchasing costly card and gifts, he added.

It is totally wrong that Valentine Day is only for lovers. In fact, all the friends enjoy the day equally joyfully and exchange beautiful gifts. Though I have not yet purchased any gift or card for my friends but have visited the shops in search of a better selection.
