Press conference organised on the eve of annual convention of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers and Symposium going to be held on 1st Feb to 3rd Feb at Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering Bhopal. Dr. Nawab Ali, Deputy Director General (Engineering), ICAR, New Delhi, and president of ISAE, Dr. M.M Pandey, Director, CIAE, Bhopal and convenor and Dr. R.T.Patil, Director Central Institute of post harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana and Vice-President (Technical), ISAE addressed the press conference highlighting the theme of the convention 'Crop residue, animal waste and by-product utilization'.
He replied to the quires of the press citing examples as to how effectively the crop residues and animal waste can be useful for the humans. He even stresses on the recent advances in the area of by-product utilization especially by the use of Soya-beans/pulses. Crop residue back to soil would improve the nutritional status of soil. Development of technology for biomass gasification and liquid fuel from biomass are the recent advances in the area of renewable energy .
Inauguration will be on 01.02.2008 at 10.15 at CIAE, Bhopal by Dr. Mangla Rai, Secretary DARE and Director General, ICAR, New Delhi. Prof. A.C. Pandya, Ex-Director CIAE and Sh. Sompal, Vice-Chairman, State planning board, MP has contested to the Guests of Honour. The chief-guest will also inaugurate Agro industrial exhibition at the same day at 11.15.
