Ailing Cuban President Fidel Castro is in "impeccable" health and "ready to take on his political role in Cuba," Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva said after visiting Castro.
 
One suicide attack per week in Pak 

Washington, Jan 16:
Pakistan averaged more than one suicide attack a week in 2007 as the country's military and intelligence establishment gradually lost control of the terrorist networks it had nurtured since 1980s, according to analysts in India, US and Pakistan.
 
Blast kills 23 as Lanka ceasefire ends  

Colombo, Jan 16:
At least 23 people, including several children, were killed and 67 injured Wednesday when a bomb ripped through a bus in Buttala in South-eastern Sri Lanka.
 
Brown on mission to upgrade UK-India ties  

London, Jan 16:
Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, will embark on a two-day visit to India from Sunday with an avowed objective to upgrade Britain's relations with the emerging Asian giant to bring them on par with its ties with the US.
