Bhopal is a beautiful city as also capital of an important State. It has a population of around 25 lakh however this capital city is being treated below the level of a tehsil place.
Thousands of government employees reside in Bhopal and also in nearby 8 districts. They were getting easy, quick and low cost justice from the State Administrative Tribunal. However it was abolished by former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh due to prejudice. Thousands of cases of Government employees were transferred to High Court at Jabalpur where they keep pending for as long as 7 to 8 years. This action of the Congress government caused immense dissatisfaction amongst employees and they made a very vigorous propaganda against the Congress government. Due to this anarchy of Congress government, it lost the last elections and the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power. After the elections, the Congress party realized its error openly and admitted its fault. The BJP government should have rectified this error and should have started the State Administrative Tribunal but it is following the policy of the Congress. Thus, the dissatisfaction among the employees is in greater degree against the Bharatiya Janata Party and it shall surely cause great harm to BJP in future elections. Hence the present government should reverse the decision of the Congress government and start the SAT immediately for the benefit of its employees.
Bhopal deserves a high court bench too but it has been totally denied. The poor people have to go to Jabalpur and justice is very costly due to price hike, unsafe and costly journey. Besides, the fee and cost of litigation is so great that a poor person or a gas victim cannot afford it. Thus, justice is totally denied to the poor people which are around a crore near Bhopal. Almost all capitals of India have a High Court or its bench, but Bhopal has no limb of the High Court.
The elite of Bhopal and the poor people are extremely annoyed with the present government and this factor if unremedied could go against the present government in future elections.
Railway trains should start from Bhopal to various parts of India. In this respect it is being treated like an ordinary road side station. Trains formerly starting from Bhopal like Rajkot Express, Indore-Bilaspur exp, Amarkantak exp were extended to Indore and Jabalpur. They come packed to Bhopal and reservation is not available here. Similarly, other new trains are being started from Jabalpur and Indore. Politicians are getting trains of Bhopal shifted to Indore or Jabalpur and so Bhopal is only a road side station.
