Bhopal, Jan 13: An open questionnaire and poster exhibition was organised under the Department of Limnology, Barkatullah University Bhopal on the subject of "development works related society in Narmada Valley". Large number of students took part in the programme.

Vice-chancellor of Barkatullah University, Bhupal Singh was the chief guest of the programme and inaugurated the poster exhibition by lighting traditional lamp and visited it and also discussed with the students. After debate contest was organsied and they expressed their views in and against the subject. HOD, Department Limnology Professor Ashwini Vangneo presented the plan of the programme.

Professor Pradeep Shrivastava of Department of Zoology, Barkatullah University said that the students should be encouraged to take part in the discussion related this subject as a result the could participate in the burning issues of the society. The chief guest Bhupal Singh said that students develop leadership through such kind of event. He also got various information and feelings about various subjects and problems of the students during discussion. In the end of the programme, winners were given prizes.

Pyali Bhattacharya, students of Bio-science secured first position, Ashutosh Malviya, student of Narmada College, Hoshangabad secured second position and Nilofar Jaan , student of Aquaculture Department secured third position in poster exhibition. In debate contest, Khurshid Ahmed of Bio-science secured first position, Jahur of Limnology secured second position and Mahima Dixit, Limnology Department in opposition (against the subject) secured first position, T Malik of Bio-science secured second position.
