Residents of Gohana and Dheerpura villages in Datia district and Dubli village in Rajgarh district were pleasantly surprised to find Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan among them all of a sudden. So far the Chief Minister had been striving to solve villagers' problems by meeting them at Jandarshan programmes. Chief Minister Chouhan has visited most of the districts' rural areas with a view to know people's problems directly and solve them. On Sunday morning Chief Minister Chouhan flew by helicopter directly to village Dubli in Rajgarh district. Public Relations Secretary Manoj Shrivastava accompanied him. No one had any knowledge about CM's visit in Rajgarh district. After landing there Chief Minister Chouhan took round of the rural area on a motorcycle and sometimes on foot, intermingled with people and children, jotted down their problems in a diary and met village Kotwar, Patwari, teachers and all sections of society in a casual way. The Chief Minister issued instructions to initiate action against those found guilty of laxity in discharging their duties during his surprise visit.
With a view to making surprise visits, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan left Bhopal by helicopter at noon today. After Dubli, Chief Minister also made surprise visits to Gohana and Dheerpua villages in Datia district. At these villages too people had a pleasant surprise to find the Chief Minister among them. Villager lost no opportunity and apprised the Chief Minister even about their small problems. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed to take immediate actions on the applications submitted to him by the villagers.
Chief Minister Chouhan also apprised himself of the Midday Meal arrangements at Gohana village in Seorha of Datia district and regular attendance of teachers at the schools. He was told that the Midday Meal scheme is being conducted smoothly in the village. However, the villagers urged him to increase irrigation facilities.
The Chief Minister, donning a 'gamchha' over his head like villagers, undertook the journey in the village on a motorcycle. However, villagers made no mistake in recognising him. Riding the pillion, Chief Minister went to the police station and apprised himself of the action taken by the police on the reports filed there. Later, he talked directly to people on the issue of law and order and the role of police.
Hearing the news of Chief Minister Chouhan's surprise visit to Datia district, Gwalior division commissioner Dr Komal Singh, collector Datia, superintendent of police and other administration officials rushed to meet him. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the commissioner to take immediate action on the applications given to him by the villagers.
