Bharat Parv to mark R-Day

Indore, Jan 10: `Bharat Parv' will be organized at all the district headquarters in the state on the Republic Day. In this regard, state chief secretary, Rakesh Sahni has issued necessary directives to the all the divisional commissioners and district collectors in the state.

A decision to organize `Bharat Parv' has been taken to mark 150th anniversary of India's first freedom struggle of 1857, 60th anniversary of India's freedom as well as 51st foundation day of Madhya Pradesh. Starting from January 26 this year, every year `Bharat Parv' will be organized at all the district headquarters of the state in the evening on the Republic Day.

On the occasion, various patriotic, cultural, music, dance, drama as well as poems recital programmes will be organized. Besides paintings related to freedom struggle and achievements made by the state in various fields will also be put on display.

All the works related to selection of artistes, honorarium to be paid to them for the Bharat Parv will be taken out by the directorate of Swaraj institute, Bhopal and the same will be sent to the district headquarters. Honorariums to be paid to the artistes will also be sent to the district collectors on time. Arrangements for stay of artistes, venue of programme and other arrangements associated with it will be carried out at local level.

As per the instructions sent to the district headquarters, either assembly speaker, deputy speaker or any state and incharge minister of the district will be invited as the chief guest. In case of absence of these dignitaries, the district collector will be at liberty to invite any freedom fighter, social worker, writer or any other eminent person to the function.
